JANE - Operations Director
In May 2019 Jane set up her home Coastal Haven as a holiday cottage. Since then she has accommodated hundreds of guests at the property.
From no knowledge of the hospitality industry at all, it has been a steep learning curve. Jane is now an Airbnb Superhost and has a Booking.com rating of 9.7 with an occupancy rate for 2021 of over 80% since re-opening on the 12th of April.
In September 2020, Jane set up a website and booking engine and now obtains 65% of her bookings direct – with no commission to pay.
Jane knows first hand how daunting the process of setting up a holiday let can be. Let Jane help you to avoid some of the pitfalls, keep your property sparkly clean and get those all important guests!
In Jane's spare time she can often be found walking on the beautiful beach of her home town Hornsea; usually with a famous Mr Moo's ice cream in hand!
KATE - Commercial Director
Kate has many years’ experience working in accountancy practices and has run her own accountancy and bookkeeping business. Kate also has a website design and marketing business and has a wealth of knowledge to enable us to market your property effectively whether you are an individual holiday let owner or a corporate client with a holiday let portfolio.
Kate can help you set up your own website and provide a marketing strategy to enable you to get direct bookings free from commission. Kate is currently in the process of setting up www.holidayeastyorkshire.co.uk to enable YHLM to advertise all of our client’s holiday lets in one place. This will create more direct bookings for YHLM clients as a whole and other holiday let owners and hospitality businesses in East Yorkshire.
In Kate's spare time she loves walking her three dogs in the abundant Yorkshire countryside.
RUTH - Director (LH Accountants Ltd)
Ruth has her own Chartered Accountancy practice, LH Accountants Ltd with more than 25 years of experience in accounts. After working for both small local accountancy firms and a much larger corporate practice she uses her knowledge to provide the service of a large firm whilst remaining friendly and approachable.
Ruth will advise on the best way to set up your business financially and moving forward can provide various services including bookkeeping, self assessment, business tax returns and preparation of annual accounts. Ruth can give free advice whilst setting up your holiday let and will provide a discounted, fixed fee accountancy package for all YHLM clients.
In Ruth's spare time she loves to spend time with her two young boys. She loves all the activities and outdoor spaces Hornsea and the rest of East Yorkshire has to offer for families.
